A dream come true

A community of parents has helped to make the dream of a new secondary school in Elmcourt Road, West Norwood, London a reality.

In September 2006, children and their families can come to Open Sessions to discover more about The Elmgreen School, which will open a year later to 180 11-year olds.

The school, the first in England to be established by Parent Promoters, will open with Year 7 in the first year. Then each successive year will build up to the school's eventual full intake of 1,100 pupils.
